The gambling giant William Hill has recently revealed that its bingo operations grew by a staggering 58% in the third quarter of 2010.

This is yet another online gaming provider that has enjoyed increased bingo revenues –Party Gaming, Rank Group (the owners of Mecca Bingo) and Ladbrokes have all reported growth to their bingo operations in the third quarter of 2010.

Overall, William Hill group saw growth in every sector of its online gaming operations, especially in sports betting, which saw astonishing growth of 287% when compared to the same period in 2009. Even though William Hill group had an overall growth of 22%, the company is still trading with a debt in excess of £500 million. However, it is sure to take strength in this year’s promising performance despite there being various setbacks, such as the regulation of online gaming in France, which forced its online casino out of the country.

By weathering the storm, William Hill has been able to make £26.3 million in profits for this period, which is an increase of 80% when compared to 2009 figures. Playtech Bingo, who took over the running of the William Hill Bingo after the two companies struck deal in 2008, is estimated to have a non-controlling interest worth around £7.5 million.
